        ThunderTek/PX Q6G Thunderbolt™ to 4-Port eSATA Adapter

Thunderbolt PCIe Expansion Chassis and SeriTek/Q6G Bundle

        Mac / PC / Linux / Thunderbolt / eSATA
4-Port eSATA to Thunderbolt Adapter with Port Multiplier Compatibility
Get the Most Out of Your Existing Enclosures
The ThunderTek/PX-Q6G adds four high performance eSATA ports to any Thunderbolt equipped computer by installing a SeriTek/Q6G card inside the ThunderTek/PX chassis. This high performance combination supports legacy eSATA enclosures via a Thunderbolt port. High performance, versatility and compatibility with most eSATA storage devices, makes the ThunderTek/PX-Q6G a perfect tool for moving your existing eSATA enclosures to a new Thunderbolt equipped computer.
        Blazing Fast Speeds
Thunderbolt technology provides ultra fast 10Gbs bi-directional, dual channel bandwidth with the use of a single, compact port. This new high performance standard brings the power of PCIe expansion to notebooks as well as desktop computers. In the past, computer storage connections were limited, as high performance, external, eSATA ports were usually not found on portable computer models. FirmTek has blown through this limitation with the introduction of the ThunderTek/PX-Q6G - "Thunderbolt to eSATA adapter".
        Hot Swappable Connections
No need to turn off the computer when you want to connect a different eSATA device. The ThunderTek/PX-Q6G supports hot swap so customers can easily attach or remove eSATA enclosures based on the current needed data set. With ThunderTek/PX-Q6G installed, the customer is in control. Easy data access improves productivity and creativity for professional customers with large data libraries.
        Amazingly Portable
Imagine being able to move your eSATA enclosure from the Mac Pro to a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac or the Mac mini. This is amazingly simple to do. The ThunderTek/PX-Q6G provides up to four eSATA ports that can be used to support eSATA enclosures like the miniSwap/ES, SeriTek/2EN2, SeriTek/2eEN4, SeriTek/5PM and more. Why purchase new Thunderbolt enclosures when all you really need is a ThunderTek/PX-Q6G adapter?

        Notes

        1. Support for 20 drives requires the use of drive enclosures employing port multipliers (like Firmtek's Fusion D500P, Fusion D400QR5 or R400QR5). When using an enclosure without a port multiplier, the SeriTek/Q6G will support 4 drives.
        2. Western Digital manufactures Desktop edition (WD Caviar, Caviar SE, Caviar SE16, and Raptor X) hard drives and Enterprise (RAID) Edition (WD RE, RE2, and Raptor) hard drives. Each type of hard drive is designed to work specifically in either a desktop computer environment, or connected to a RAID controller (hardware or software-based). If you intend to configure Western Digital drives in a RAID set, Firmtek and WD recommend using only their Enterprise edition hard drives.
