    Battery provided some needed juice!

    It's just hard to beat the convenience of the good ol' iPod Classic, so I thought it worthwhile to go the route of replacing the battery on mine rather than jump ship to an alternative. So long as you have some good video tutorials on hand and a few quality tools, it's not a terribly difficult process, I found. This NewerTech battery seems to be running very well so far and gave no issues during install. While the battery itself came with a few plastic pry tools, these broke after a few iPod-prying attempts; I don't count this against the company but so much, as I pretty much anticipated this (get nylon and/or metal versions of the same!) and saw it sort of as a generous, if somewhat disillusioning, offer.
