Is your PowerBook G4 17" (1.67GHz / 1.67GHz "Double Layer SuperDrive") forgetting what time and day it is? Your clock battery is failing! Time to replace it!

ATTENTION: This replacement PRAM battery will only work with PowerBook G4 1.67GHz and PowerBook G4 17" "Double Layer SuperDrive" 1.67GHz systems ONLY.

If you take your memory cover off of your laptop and remove the memory module closest to the battery bay, you will see a ribbon cable that goes to the keyboard. If you have a very skinny 1/4") orange cable, this battery will work for you. If you have a wide cable (about an inch and a quarter wide) you cannot use this replacement battery.

Please note: If you find an older 1.5GHz system you MAY be able to use this as some boards were replaced late in their production with the newer battery. The bottom picture shows "PB G4 1.5GHZ OR GREATER" meaning it is a replacement part that can be used with those systems so it would be worth dissasembling the PowerBook to verify if you have a replaceable cell as shown below.
