Note: Electrical boxes typically range from 15 to 16 cubic inches. To determine the size of the electrical box you intend to install a Power2U into, turn off power to outlet, remove faceplate cover, and measure height, width, and depth of the box. Multiplying those measurements together will equal the cubic inches or volume of the electrical box. If you are unsure of how to do these and/or cannot follow all safety precautions, you should consult an licensed electrician.

huge - probably won't fit in your boxes

It is about 1 5/8 deep - maybe a little a deeper even - and boxy. There was no way it would fit in the box I intended to put it in. I ended-up putting it in my fourth-choice location trying to find a place where it would fit - and even then I had to work very hard to get all the wires shoved-in. When I first bought this I was planning to buy more if I liked the first one...I'm glad I did that strategy, and will not be buying more. Unless you are putting in new boxes - very deep boxes and know you have enough room, I would stay far away from these.
