Great Product

I have about 10 of these Mirrored Dual Drive Bays and I will continue to purchase them as they are needed. The ones I have range from 2GB up to 4GB and they are effortless to use. These are great for backup use as well as for always on and permanently connected to many of our Macintosh computers. Because of their relatively small size they are also good as a backup drive that can be stored in onsite Fire Proof/Flood Proof safes.

I would recommend this product to a friend!

Good Simple RAID Enclosure

Bought this as a backup device for all of my wife's photos and video files. Using two 1TB drives I had left over from a previous upgrade I installed them in about 10 minutes. Getting the drive connected to the iMac did cause a problem and calling the help line I was told that I had to initially connect using the USB interface set up the RAID, then shut down and use the Firewire interface. Sort of a round about way, but everything works and I am pleased. There was a problem with what seemed to be a lot of noise coming from the cooling fan. Again customer service told me to carefully pop out the fan press on the center of the fan to seat or reseat it and reinstall and restart. That did make the drive much quieter. So for the money this is a great drive especially if you have a pair of old drives you want to make use of.
