The only thing I can say about the OWC Aura 6G SSD is FAST. And the bundled Envoy Pro casing really help make cloning the original SSD easy. It is also fast and error-free. The only downside is that none of the screwdriver fit the screw which holds the SSD. I have to use my own screwdriver which I have bought for my previous Macbook Pro (2008 ver) to unscrew it. Otherwise everything else is perfect. This SSD is definitely a revival for older Macbook Pro Retina.

I'm very sorry to hear about any issues you had with your upgrade kit. The screw that holds in the SSD is a Torx T5, and that screwdriver should have been included. If the T5 you received did not fit, then it could have been an issue with the screwdriver. If you used a screwdriver from a 2008 MacBook Pro though, it may have been a Phillips screw, which would not have been the stock screw that Apple used originally. Either way, feel free to contact us for further assistance and we'd be happy to help!
Ask the folks at MSC for their recommendation. The order arrived on time. Used the instruction video on the internet to install. Anyone can do it. Highly recommended.
