Customer Reviews
Ordered this in November 2012 to replace stock SSD which died unexpectedly in my mid-2011 MacBook Air. More space, more speed, easy installation, still running like a charm (in Feb. 2016). A+, recommend highly. Thanks OWC!

I wanted more storage space and a performance upgrade for my 2011 Macbook Air and this worked perfectly. I think this is a better deal than just the SSD as it contains the enclosure that you can use with your old OEM SSD. The OWC install video was extremely helpful but really, all you do is remove the cover, slide the power cable off, and a single screw holds the SSD in place. I was back up and running in less than 15 mins. As always, make sure you have a backup to reinstall the OS. Eventually, the price will come down so now it's an expensive option but it does ensure the Macbook will be ready for anything I throw at it for the next few years.
