Use OWC SSDs in Towers and Desktop Computers!
The aluminum OWC 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Adapter Bracket allows you to securely and easily install a 2.5" form factor hard drive or SSD in a 3.5" side mount drive bay.
Just place the drive on the bracket, attach it via the provided drive screws, and then attach the assembly onto a 3.5" drive bay's brackets via the included bracket screws.
Important Tech Note: While compatible with side mounted bays like those found in some PCs and PowerMacs; this bracket is not compatible with bottom-mounting drive bays like those in the Mac Pro and early G4 Towers.
For bottom-mounted drive bays we suggest either the OWC Mount Pro (for 2009-2010 Mac Pro models) or the Newer Technology AdaptaDrive.
It's Easy as 1-2-3
- Line up your 2.5" drive so its mounting holes line up with those on the bracket and that the SATA connection is along the left edge
- Secure your 2.5" drive to the bracket using the included mounting screws.
- Mount the drive and bracket into any side-mounting drive bay like you would any other 3.5" drive.
