The Pro Drive allows you to directly integrate hardware RAID 0 storage into your Mac Pro. It holds two 2.5 inch hard drives with an embedded controller chip to instantly enable RAID 0 functionality without difficult set ups.
The new Pro Drive is designed to fit both the Xeon and Nehalem Mac Pro systems. With its slide-ready architectural design, the Pro Drive installs and extracts easily just like the original storage drive bays included in the Mac Pro without extra parts to add or install.

RAID 0 made easy
The Pro Drive PD2520 model enhances the I/O speed performances by combining the capacity of the two drives enclosed into one large volume to increase the bandwidth of the I/O throughput. In turn, delivering faster speed performance when compared to a standard 3.5 inch hard drive. Simply install drives and it will automatically create the RAID 0 functionality through the embedded hardware RAID controller. |
Internally & externally attachable
Besides using the Pro Drive as a Mac Pro's® internal drive, the PD2520 can also be utilized as an externally attached drive device via high-speed FireWire 800 + USB 2.0 combo connectivity (cables and power supply not included). Designed conveniently for those using Mac Pros, that may also require the same data to be made mobile along with his/her laptop. |
