Local Sales Tax

If the order is shipped to a destination in the State of Illinois, Nevada, or Texas, the law requires that applicable sales tax be added to the order total for all products purchased.

Purchases of OWC products found in retail stores of authorized OWC resellers are subject to the current local sales tax laws. These taxes are generally not VATs, and cannot be recovered by non-USA visitors when returning home.

Tax Exempt

Many government, education, non-profit organizations, public charities, churches and other religious organizations qualify for tax-exempt purchases by special assignment from the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

OWC requires the submission of proper documentation for verification of an entity's tax-exempt status prior to purchase. In addition, to better serve tax-exempt customers, OWC will assign each tax-exempt account to Sales Account Managers.
