Important notes
It is always highly recommended that you backup your data. Your data must exist in multiple locations to be qualified as having a backup. Anytime a drive is being updated, upgraded or moved, there is a potential for data loss. This update is non-destructive while OWC has updated several drives with no data loss, we strongly recommended backing up all data on the SSD before performing this update.
This firmware is current as of March 15, 2013. If you received your drive with an invoice dated prior to this date, the firmware update is highly recommended.
MacBook Pro 6,1 - 8,3 with an installed OWC Data Doubler:
*Due to an Apple EFI restriction, you cannot boot this updater via a USB or External Optical Drive. You will need to remove your Data Doubler and reinstall the factory optical drive to utilize this updater. We are working on a solution, and will update this page when available.
