The FASTA-2ex will work with any laptop that has an ExpressCard 34 slot, such as the Apple MacBook Pro 17". The FASTA-2ex also supports hot plugging, so there is no need to restart the computer when connecting or disconnecting an eSATA device.
The FASTA-2ex supports many popular technologies including, S.M.A.R.T., port multiplication, and support for green and high performance SATA drives. It is also fully compatible with SATA I, SATA II and SATA III drives.
