The OWC TiG4 Bag was designed specifically to be used either as a minimalist carrying case for your Apple PowerBook G4, or to be used as secondary protection inside of your own other carrying bag. It works extremely well when combined with the Kensington SaddleBag carrying case (available here).

The OWC TiG4 Bag is designed with a minimum of padding to keep it from being bulky. But don't let it's slim physique fool you: it's interior is fully lined with a plush nylon lining, and 1/4" of padding. Just enough to keep your Apple PowerBook G4 safe in normal use. While not enough protection to save your machine from a drop down the stairs, it certainly will keep bumps and scuffs away from your investment.

And, the outer Dupont Cordura® shell is plastic backed, and therefore waterproof. In fact, the only place that can admit water to the inside of the case is through the zipper. So while it's not fully waterproof, it's waterproof enough for peace of mind.

Speaking of zippers, the OWC TiG4 Bag has two, made by world famous YKK. Why two? it's much easier to use two zippers to open a bag in a hurry and if you've ever been to the airport, you'll need to take your PowerBook G4 out of it's protective bag(s) for security. The use of two zippers makes it just that much easier for quick access to your PowerBook G4. Also, the YKK zippers are felt backed, to protect your machine from any chance of scratches.

Also, the handle on the OWC TiG4 Bag is made of high quality nylon webbing; simple, and functional. The handle also has the advantage of being able to collapse upon itself if you slip it into a secondary bag, thereby taking up less space. And we all know space is an important commodity when you're packing a bag.
