OWC Note: Although this is an Apple Rom/OEM optical drive, due to limitations of these in the Intel-based compatible Mac mini models, booting from this optical drive requires choosing the drive as the startup disk under system preferences, then restarting machine. Further note, this does not in any way impact read or write capabilities of this drive.
