Under powered and virtually useless

The purchase process was perfectly reasonable and the product arises as advertised. Unfortunately, maybe I had not done sufficient research, but the performance of the device was so slow as to render it unusable. I only wanted the unit to stream TV, and I felt sure that it would be good as I have another, older Mac mini that serves this purpose for a different TV. It took this mini over 3 minutes to boot up, and opening Chrome took another minute. Any other action took an equally unacceptable time. We returned the unit, at our expense, so ended up well out of pocket and had to buy a different device from elsewhere. I very deeply regret buying this Mac mini. It’s exactly as advertised but damn is it bad. I had trouble getting it to run anything. Eventually figured I could at least turn it into a simple Proxmox server and even that is too much to ask of it. I’m sure someone has a use for it out there but I couldn’t imagine what that would be. Nice Mac for the money

Purchased this previously owned Mac mini with a 16 GB of RAM. I then replaced the hard drive with a 500 GB SSD. For being 10 years old this little guy screams! Great replacement for my old slower multimedia center which was a 2009 Mac mini. I would recommend this item to a friend! Quick service and excellent Mac Mini

As is typical with OWC/Mac Sales, service was super fast and the product was exactly as advertised. I upgraded the os to MacOS 12 and put it into service as a dedicated video teleconference server, utilizing our TV as monitor and a Logitech web cam for video. I have an Apple TV connected to the same TV, but trying to rig up my iPhone as a video input device is a pain. I spent less than $200 on a good used MinI, webcam and wall mount for the mini. I previously tried ‘fanless’ micro PCs, but they were slow and, unfortunately, PCs running Windows 10. I would recommend this item to a friend!
