This 7-port USB 3.0 hub connects directly to the USB-A port on your computer, laptop, MacBook, Surface or Chromebook. It allows you to use as many as seven USB devices, such as flash drives, external hard drives, printers, barcode scanners, webcams, keyboards/mice and power meters, all at the same time. The hub is backward compatible with previous USB standards, so you can also continue using older peripherals while getting maximum performance from current devices.

    great for what it is

    After upgrading my internal ssd drive I found out that I also needed a powered charging hub since the USB hub on the monitor didn't supply enough of the power needed and I got the drive ejected improperly every time the monitor went to sleep. so far no complaints. It looks sturdy enough to last some time.

    This unit sets up in less than a minute and is very easy to use. I haven't tried it for charging USB devices but it works very well as a USB hub.
