*New iMac models do not have universal manufacturer compatibility, use the steps below to choose the hard drive right for your machine.
Check your Hard Drive Manufacturer on your Machine |
Step 1: Click the Apple Icon (top left
corner) and Select 'About This Mac'

Step 2: In the new window titled 'About This
Mac' click the 'More Info...' button.

Step 3: Click on 'Serial-ATA' over to
the left of the
widow that just opened. |
Step 4:
• Your Hard Drive Manufacturer's Number will be located at the top under "NVidia MCP79 AHCI"
• If it states..
"WDC WD", you have a Western Digital Drive
"ST", you have a Seagate Drive
• Click your Hard Drive Manufacturer below for all listed options. |
