Hi, all! Can anyone tell me if they've had any success with Firewire Target Disk Mode with a similar configuration? I'm using my PowerMac 9600 w/FireWire PCI Card to try and connect to my iBook Dual USB in Target Disk Mode. I've run Apple System Profiler, and it recognizes the iBook on the device list as "Target Disk Mode," but it's not mounting the drives (rather, the three partitions I've created on my iBook's single 10Gig drive). Any ideas? Thanks! - Dave |

Hmmm, That is strange. I have definitely used TDM to hook a newer imac and a PBG4 or two to my PowerTowerPro. I think the previous posters reboot trick is a very good idea. If that doesn't work, you could also try creating a new user and see if that is any different. Marty |

On older versions of 10.2, I had to reboot my 9500 to see the drives on my Pismo using TDM. However, on 10.2.6 using the OWC $20 FireWire card, I have results within 15 seconds of plugging in. Make sure you are using the latest version of the firmware for your iBook, and update to the latest version of X, and you should be golden. |
