last night i downloaded DDk 1.5.5f1 (to activate USB 2.0 card under OS 9.X) and tried insatll them after being unsuccessful (many time clicking this and that) i realized that my Modem is not recognized under either 9.1 or 10.2.6. I can't get online....:-( The "ON" LED is on, all the coonetcions are fine. Does anyone have any idea what has heppened? I think my Modem is fine what i am suspecting some of those developer's stuff did something to the Motherboard or something. PLS HELP.........................:-( |

its a serial modem, thanks marcush, i think its my modem too. i know USB 2.0 won't work under 9.x, i was trying enable usb 1.1, i just want this generic USB 2.0 card to work under 9.x thats all. thanks guys, i will try this routine. |

Gabb, USB 2.0 will never work under OS9. Period. The drivers you downloaded are only for USB 1.1. As for the modem, the software itself will not do anything to your logic board. Go back to the basics and reboot the the OS9 basic extensions then re-enable small groups on successive reboots until you replicate the problem. That is assuming the modem will work with the base OS9 extensions. If you have another machine handy or have access to another machine you might test the modem with it to isolate where the problem lies. |
