I have 10.2 running on a 9600, 800 MHz Sonnet. 1. How to updrade to 10.2.6? - Can the 85M 10.2.6 combo download be used? Just upgrade from the download? Or does XPOSTFacto need to be used? 2. OS X is on a 4M partician. - How to move all the non system folders to the 2nd 36M partician? Just drag them? 3. Any tricks to using the existing OS 9.2.2 for classic? Thanks for this forum and the help. |

I installed 10.2 on my 9600 (G3/500) using xpost facto. Then I downloaded the 10.2.6 combo update and ran the installer and it installed just fine. The only unexpected issue that I had to deal with was to re-run the l2 cache enabler after the update. As far as the partician issue, I can't help since I have OS X on a separate drive from OS 9.2.2. And I have not had any luck with 9.2.2 in classic mode. However, I planned my application use so I don't really need to run OS 9 routinely. JW |
