video at startup |

My 7500 has recently decided to stop displaying video during startup (video appears once desktop has loaded). Booting into 9 and setting my output device to my video card in Xpostfacto doesn't seem to be changing this. Any ideas???? |

Hmm, yet another thread about the Radeon 7000 no video on startup issue. This has got to be about the 25th one. Not your fault, though. You could have found the answers to your questions before even posting this if only we had the ability to SEARCH this forum. |

If you have one monitor connected to the Radeon 7000, then choose ATY,RV100ad_A in XPostFacto. If you have two then ATY,RV100ad_A is only for the VGA connector (I think). If that doesn't work, then it might mean that output is being sent to built-in output anyway even though nothing is connected to it. You can e-mail me and I'll send you a patched version of XPostFacto that might fix that problem. |

ATI 7000. Don't have anything on built in video. I've had the same config. for the past 6-7 months booting in verbose mode with video all through startup... and now it's gone for whatever reason. Perhaps I'll try booting into 9 and zapping the pram. Haven't really tried much so far since having to reboot in X is so rare. |

What is your video card? Do you have anything connected to the built in video output of the 7500? |
