Has anyone had a similar experience. I cannot go beyond this point because of the unknown language. I am attempting to install Jaguar on a 9500. It loads and runs 10.0 10.1, and 10.1.5 without any difficulty. I have tried to load 10.2 as an upgrade and 10.2 as a fresh install. With the latter, I have gotten a fuzzy screen with lines all through it. Any suggestions. |

Hi, I have had similar experiences with the fuzzy screen you're talking about. The problem here is probably that your graphics card is not completely supported by OS X. At least, that was the problem I was having with my ATI Radeon 7000. The fix is to hook up your monitor to the original graphics card, or any graphics card supplied by Apple (and thus incorporated into X) during the install of OS X. Once OS X is installed correctly you can install the drivers for your graphics card and switch back. Don't forget to do this in the following way: - have your graphics card already in your computer when you install the drivers - shut down your computer, switch the monitor to the graphics card you want to use - start up in OS 9 - in the XPostFacto control panel select your graphics card as output - restart OS X HTH, Jonck |
