Has anybody figured out a way to get the OEM Adaptec SCSI 2930BU card (PowerTower Pro) to activate in OS X? Running 10.2.6 with Sonnet 800mhz G4. I've already tried the 2930 driver from Adaptec, and it doesn't work. |

Is there a jumper on the 2930B OEM card (in PowerTower Pro), similar to the one on the 2930U? Has anyone tried disabling the jumper as specified on Adaptec's website to activate this card? I noticed that it specified in Adaptec's Support for the 2930U card that older beige macs should have the jumper closed, but newer G3 and G4 systems should have the jumper open. I thought that maybe older systems like mine (PowerTower Pro) that are upgraded to G3 and G4 processors should possibly need to adjust the jumper to the open setting. Sound like an idea that might work? |
