I cant play or import audio tracks with iTunes4 or any other audioplayer. I have an internal Ultraplex40max and a external Ultraplex32 both on the standard available scsi bus. They do see the cd and the tracks on it but when trying to play or import, the speaker symbol runs down the list of tracks doing nothing at all. They both do read data cd-roms. A Generic cdr-rw on the same internal scsi bus has no problems. I don't know if it always was like this since running OS10.2 and up. I hardly ever play audio cd's on the computer. 9650/G4800/OS 10.2.8 |

I am having the same problem only on an old PowerCenterPro. I have two different, old, old, old drives. One is an internal 16x cd-rom, the other an external 4x12 cd-r. Both are Teac and both are discontinued. I can load an audio disk and it appears on the desktop just fine. In iTunes I get the same error as you. The external burner is appearantly not supported as it will not see it under the burn prefs in iTunes. I haven't tested with toast in OS X, but both work great in OS 9. Hopefully someone will have some answers, pleeeeeeeeease. PowerCenterPro/G3500/OS 10.2.3 - just loaded - thanks XPF |
