Hard Drive for X |

I know that X is disk intensive. Would a fast hard drive help? I'm looking at the 36Gig 10,000rpm IBM at OWC. Seems like a good deal. It would be in a G4 upgraded 8600 on the internal bus(10Meg). Would this boot X or even 9? Maybe OWC Larry or Ryan knows? Thanks....George ;-) |

I use a Quantum Atlas 10k 18 gig for OS 9 and for OS X and they are flawless. One difference is that I have it hooked up to an Adaptec 29160N SCSI card though to bypass the slower internal bus speed. |
