writing to NVRAM? |

I have xpf 2.2 and everytime I try installing OS X, xpf comes up with a error when copying the infoPlist.string file. That says: "could not complete your request because there was a problem writing to NVRAM" with just a OK button. What is my problem? |

This generally means that XPostFacto needs more NVRAM space to write its settings than is available. (Unfortunately, there is not a lot of space to be had). You can help save some space in NVRAM by making sure that the "input-device" and "output-device" in the Open Firmware menu is set to "None" for the install. Also, you can save a little space by not checking the "verbose mode" option in the "Advanced" menu. (The install takes more NVRAM for its settings then the regular boot process does). I do keep thinking of ways to reduce the amount of NVRAM that XPostFacto uses, in order to avoid this problem where possible. One thing that would really help is to construct Open Firmware paths with addresses rather than names--I will do some more work on this to see if I can figure that out. |

I booted back into 9 and trashed xpf prefrenece file. Everything seems to work now. |
