I have a PowerMac 7500 as follows: Running OS 9.1 Prologix G3 upgrade @350 Vodooo 3 Video ProMax TurboMax UATA/33 - Running a 20gig hd Apple 4x CD rom on internal SCSI 384 MEG Of memory When I run XPF and install from the CD XPF runs for a min or so and then restarts in verbose mode that is my error. If I run XPF install from the HD (after copying CD to HD), i seems to run much longer copyingmore files, but the end result is the same. The Previous owner of this computer said that he had OS X running on it and remebered he has some trouble with the pci ide, but cannot remeber what he did to resolve this problem. Any help would be great! Thanks! Aaron |

Basically, that means that Open Firmware is having some trouble accessing your card. Which ATA card is it exactly? You might check to see whether a firmware upgrade is needed for compatibility with Mac OS X. |

That's the same error message I've been getting with my ATTO SCSI card after updating its firmware. I've been troubleshooting it for 3 weeks but finally gave up. I bought a different ATTO card (same as in my AGP/450 machine), and will be trying it out over the weekend. Hoping this solves the problem, but I know better than that. TS |
