Hello All, I am having a problem installing 10.2 on my old G3/400 Upgraded 7500 , right now I can get XpostFacto (version 2.2.1) to launch and recognize the Install CD but whenever I hit install after I have slected my current OS X drive, it tells me there is a problem writing to NVRAM and does not procede with the reboot and install. I have tried doing a full PRAM Zap, as well as doing a CUDA reset by the hardware button. Neither of those worked obviously. Any hints or suggestions? |

THanks for the tip, I did get it to install with nothing in the OF prefs, but I also had to remove the XPostFacto Prefs as it was holding on to the data for some reason. Anyway It's installed... now to post about my other issue since install. Only one, I feel lucky. |

There's a problem when there's too much data being written to the NVRAM. I saw these problems when I had my ATA card in the 3rd slot in my 8600. I found that I needed to put the card into the 1st slot and remove all other cards. Any fewer characters that NVRAM has to remember for the config of the box is better. Also, make sure that the Open Firmware parameters are set to 'None' It might make just enough difference. Stephen |

Looking aroudn the net I find that NVRAM is just the Video settings, which I knew somewhere in teh back of my head. Anyway I have XPostFacto set up in teh OF menu to output to my Radeon 7000 VGA port. I was sure I read people having success with this Video card am I wrong? |
