I want to upgrade 10.1.5 to 10.2. When I use Xpostfacto 2.2.2 and have Jaguar inserted in my CDrom, Xpostfacto says it does not have the BootX extensions and can't be used. I thought I read somewhere about this but I can't find it. Also, I can't remember the keys to hold down during startup of the Mac OS X CD to force the display to my Radeon. Can someone tell me again? Thanks |

You would hold down command-v to get verbose mode. (I'm not sure if that is exactly what you mean though--let me know if I've misunderstood). |

Ryan, you helped me before when I was first installing X. You told me I had to hold down 2 keys to force video to my original Radeon when I was attempting to install. What were the keys again? |

Ordinarily, the Jaguar CD would have BootX installed, but there are sometimes some variations. (If you have a copy rather than an original, that could explain it). Even if BootX is not installed on the CD, it should still work for an install. That is, I am imagining that the "Restart" button would be dimmed, but XPostFacto ought to still allow you to select a volume to install to, and use the "Install" button. Let me know if that is not the case. |
