iTunes not recording |

iTunes records for a bit then hangs. It gets most of the way through a CD normally. I had a PowerLogix G4 450 upgrade card and thought it might be the problem, as all my video consistently hung, as well. I replaced it with a Sonnet G3 400 I've got in my 8500, and now the video works, but iTunes still hangs. I've been through all my memory, and it all tests out ok. iTunes last worked with 10.1. I thought perhaps it was related to the music skipping problem others have suggested. It's not really a big deal; I can rip on another Mac. Overall, I'm very pleased with the XPostFacto software, and it has put off having to plunk down a grand for a newer Mac. |

No ATA cards. I was figuring that it might have to do with the fact that my CD was SCSI until I read about skipping while playing, but, for the fun of it, I ran iTunes playing for about twenty hours with no problems at all, but I can't even record a full CD. The CD is a stock Apple 8x, I believe, whatever came with an 8600, connected to one of the 8600's buses. Perhaps I'd better connect it to the slow bus and see if that fixes it. Both hard drives are connected to the ATTO PCI UltraSCSI card. |

Any ATA cards? The drives hooked up to mine causes iTunes to die under Jaguar. |
