Greetings to all. Just installed OS X 10.0.4 on my Powerbase200. All works well. I'd like to upgrade to 10.1, how would I accomplish this? Just boot from the CD under Openboot (set my boot drive to the scsi drive?) and install to the OS X Partition? Or do I need to launch XPF from OS X and select the 10.1 Upgrade CD as the installer and the OS X Partition as the HD to install to? |

You need to install 10.1 the same way you installed 10.0. That is, you need to boot from the 10.1 Install CD, but of course you can't do that directly, so you need to use XPostFacto again. Unfortunately, you can't launch XPF from Mac OS X to do this--I do want to get that working for version 3, though. So at the moment, you need to reboot into Mac OS 9.x and run XPF from there. |
