Volume wont go up very high on my 9500 w/ 10.1.5 |

Seems like a minor problem, but the volume wont turn up very high. The "volume indicators" claim the volume is full blast, but its at best 1/4 of the max system volume under 9.1. I can barely hear mp3's in itunes. Ditto for movies in quicktime. Any suggestions? The sound works fine, just real low, so I am kinda perplexed! |

Same here, almost no volume on an 8500 with 10.1.x through 10.2.1. I bought a Dual 867 MDD because I need audio in capability. It would have cost $400 for the Sonnet 800MHz CPU, and another $100 for a Firewire/USB card, so I threw in another $1200 and got the new machine. |

FWIW, I'm having the same problem with my 8500 with a Newer G3/500 upgrade card since installing OS X 10.0 (now on 10.2.1) For me, the volume is at best a tenth of the maximum volume possible under 9 (barely audible with built-in speaker). |

Oeps I forget to tell I have a 7500. BTW in Quicksilver 10.2.1 it is also not as loud as my 7500 and macos9. Maybe a X issue or... Rene again. PS, A while back someone suggest to put the configuration in the emails. Maybe we can put this in the account settings and it will be shown automaticcaly under our emails. Or maybe as a button under our emails who redirects us to this information. ( if your developers/admin have time to make this avail. ). |

I haven't seen reports of this particular symptom before. But there are a variety of sound-related "quirks" on the older machines--I guess this is another variation. I'm afraid that I'm not sure what to suggest. |
