Has anyone had any experience with 10.2 (or earlier) on a powerbook 3400? As my post below explains, I haven't been able to use 10.2 on my desktop much, so if I can run it decently on a 3400 I'd like to give it a try. |

I've installed 10.1 on a 3400. (I believe that 10.2 won't work with the 3400 yet because of changes to the kernel's CPU support, but I haven't tried it). I'm not sure that I would characterize it as running "decently." It was pretty slow, unfortunately. And there are a variety of things that aren't supported (most notably, sleep)--you can see the XPostFacto documentation for more details. I had the full 160 MB of RAM installed--anything less would be even slower. |
