Hi! This is a 7500 with a NewerTech 400Mhz G4 upgrade running 9.0.4 with 256 MB RAM. It is not online. I downloaded both the Expostfacto and the Level2cache file on a different Mac, burned them to a CD and then put the CD in this 7500. I then copied both files to the HD of the 7500. I put the 10.2 Jaguar CD in the 7500 ROM. I then tried to launch Expost and the error: "cannot launch. carbonlib- CFURLcreatefromfsref could not be found". I'm not that good at this stuff. The upgrade to Jaguar would be great if you could get me going. Thanks!!! Michael Goodroe |

The problem is that XPostFacto is looking for a more recent version of the CarbonLib than you have installed. Using the "Software Update" feature in Mac OS 9 would probably cure this. XPostFacto should really react more gracefully in this circumstance--I will fix it for version 3. |

Ummm... not to be rude, but if that was a problem, then you might want to get some help installing Jaguar. It could be a smooth install for you, or it could be mondo frustrating. Good Luck, Marty |
