Hello, This could be a generic problem of MacOS X and not XPFs problem. Well here are my findings. I have a Power Mac 9500 with one SCSI disk connected to the internat SCSI Chain, a scanner and a CDROM at the externat SCSI chain. I also have an ACARD IDE card. This card has connected a hard disk and a DVD rom. All the periferals works great. But I have a small problem. When I open Norton Utilities for X the Disk that is connected to the IDE card is not seen as a SCSI Disk. It is displayed as a partition. Under the disks Norton displays the Disk SCSI ID BUS Number etc and in this disk it displayes "Unknown". It even does not test the partition contents. On some OS9 classic applications the disk is shown as floppy! and also I cannot format the disk from X. What could be a problem like that??? I Can use the disk with no any problem. And also if I boot from OS 9 the disks are shown with no any problem. |

I checked at the Symantec web site (http://www.symantec.com/) because I was having problems (no disks show up). They stated that norton utilities is not compatible with 10.2.2 yet. I experienced this with an earlier os release too. It took them a while to respond then too. |
