Im using at my 8500 with G4/400 a combocard for USB and firewire. The card has only two USB-ports, therefore I used an USB-hub with 5 ports more. Under OS 9.2 and OS X 1.5 it works fine, but since OS X 2 only the card gives me the two ports but at the hubb the 5 LEDs are lightned but the computer don´t find the printer and the modemport behind the hub. Does anybody have an idea? |

If you can boot 9.2 you can download the 10.2.3 updates from the Apple web site and then apply them. |

Can you not plug the modem directly into your USB card to get it recognised and then download the update? |

Hi nick, how can I update to 10.2.3 if 10.2.1 does not give me Internetconnection, because it will not find my modem? it is 4-port USB 1.1-HUB from Digitus and the card is SOHO USB 1394 FireWire/USB Combo Card. Now the firewire volume apeares sometimes and sometimes not. |

You could try updating to 10.2.3 in case it's a problem that Apple have fixed already. What USB card and hub are you using? |
