I running a 7500 upgraded with Sonnet G3 500/1Mb, orange micro usb/ firewire, radeon, 576 Mb ram.... and 10.2.3 (xPostfacto) When I plug in my iPod (which works fine as far as playing) the mac says that I have just connected an unreadable volume and wants to initialize. iTunes doens't seem to recognize it either. Any ideas |

Thanks diditgo.... I reformated and everything is well & good. I did however try disk first aid (x version) and it said that the keys were out of order. I also tried norton (os 9) and it generated tons and tons of errors and quit. Anyhow I did the reformat. I sorta figured I've have to but felt a little queesy about doing so until I read your post. Oh, one question.... what is fsck? |

Greetings, I had the same problem. Used disk first aid to erase and re-initialize. My ipod was playing fine as well. The problem showed up after I started useing Isync (although I am useing isync now with no problems). The other thing I was doing when this ipod thing showed up was changeing out my pci cards to get a usb card that would work with jag. My old powerlogix combo card no longer worked. I now have the same card as you. One other thing, I was trying to correct an error I was getting when running fsck (missing thread, invalid volume directory count). This problem was corrected with disk warrior before I fixed the problem with the ipod. Let me know if any of this happend to you. Eddy |
