I stop by the forum from time to time, and I look at the log. I have not seen an mention of support for the 604 processors with 10.2. I was just curious if any advances had been made on that front. It is beginning to look like support for the 604 in 10.2 is a dead end. But I continue to think that my 8600/300 would probably work alright with 10.2 if it were possible to install. thanks bill |

XPF works on the 7300 with 10.2 AND g3 or g4 upgrades... XPF works on the 7300 WITHOUT upgrades running 10.1.5. It's only 10.2x and nong3/g4 that doesn't currently work. Marty |

Any ETA on 10.2 support? It would help to know whether to get rid of a couple of 7300 computers or wait until 10.2 can go on them. Thanks, Tom |

rparada: If you mean the 300 MHz 604e, then Mac OS X 10.2 won't work yet. If you have a 300 MHz G3 upgrade installed, then that should work. |

I'm interested in running OS X 10.2 on a PowerMac 8600 / 300MHz with 512MB of memory. Will it work? |

I actually did some more work on this recently, and made a certain amount of progress. I've put some technical info in my log now, if you're interested. |
