I've got 10.2 on a 9600 w/ Sonnet G4/800 and Tempo Trio. My USB devices are not recognized in the Apple Profiler, yet my Kensington mouse works great with the OSX drivers, but the OSX Epson printing utility and drivers don't see my USB 1270 Photo Stylus. What printers are working under OSX I suppose they must be USB as serial does not work (no drivers). Any printing success stories? Any idea why the 9600 doesn't recognize the Epson PS 1270 when the drivers and software have been installed? Anyone got an Epson printer working under OSX? TRhe Kensington mouse works but does not show up in the device profile so it may be some recognition thing? Thanks Marshall |

I setup an Epson 1200 photo using Gimpprint and Ghostscript. Printed very well, although colors were kind of whacked. Marty |

I had problems with my Tempo Trio and the USB ports. It is not a USB driver problem because 1.1 support is built in. Of course the USB 2.0 drivers need to be installed for 2.0 support. I constantly had to plug and unplug my USB devices to get them to work. Even my keyboard would not work half the time. I finally gave up and returned the Trio card (fortunately still had the option). Sonnet tech was no help just leaving to computer gremlins. So in summary, one solution would be to have your printer on and then unplug and then replug your USB cable at the back of the Trio card, or get a different card for only USB. This I know would suck. To keep my investment down I upgraded to a 9600 from a 7500/8500 to get the extra slots because I wanted to do more and was not ready to invest in a new computer. |
