Dear All, I'm running 10.2.3 over an old 7500/100 with a Newertech G4@400 Mhz, thanks to XpostFacto 2.25. Everything is working fine, except for 2 things : - Audio (Ok, only the left voice is working). - Video. This model of 7500/100 was coming with an AV board and I used to enjoy CuSeeme or any other video-based application from OS 9.x. Now, is this board supported with 10.2.3 and XPostFacto ? if yes, what applications like CuSeeme would you recommend ? I'm using an old Sony CCD-TR105E which is broken but video's part is fine. Many thanks in advance for any advice you may have. --Manuel |

Hi Paul and Marty, Thanks for all these details. Yes I assume Ryan have definitely better things to do than supporting an old AV board. Nevermind, being able to run OS 10.2.3 on the 7500 is already a victory in itself :-) Otherwise to answer Paul question, CUseeme is a video conferencing application that have been around since... ages ! worked fine under 9.1 with a small video window and lots of codecs ! The window was barely 6 x 4 cm in size with a frame every 1 or 2 seconds depending of networking condition. Anyway it was pretty decent but maybe too limited regarding today's standarts. --Manuel |

The 7500's data path is too slow to import and compress anything but postage stamp sized video thru that built in AV interface (in OS 8 thru 9). Also experienced that it magnified pre-OS-X instabilities (many system crashes and lockups while importing). The most reliable seemed to be Apple's own Video Player, while Adobe Premier 5.1 SE and Avid's free software were disasters under 9.1. How/what is CuSeeme? |

I don't know how hard it would be, but Apple never really did a good job of documenting these ports and Ryan, who does all the heavy lifting around here has his hands full already with other projects... Marty |

Hi Marty, Thanks for the infos. I'll try another cable with the speakers. Occasionnaly the sound is also coming from the internal speaker. Otherwise too bad the AV card isn't supported !.. Too much work for a poor result ?... --Manuel |

Don't know about the right channel out problem, that sounds strange... did you try a different set of externals or headphones... The A/V card isn't supported :~< Marty |
