Can anyone explain why my G4/450 DP, 10.2.4, can't/won't access the 9.2.2 drive on my 7300/180 G4/350 running 10.2.3 under XPF? I have set up a user with access to the 7300 and can link to it from the G4 and access files on the 10.2.3 drive by placing an alias of that drive in the user's folder. But when i try to access the 9.2.2 drive using the same technique, I get a message telling me to "insert the drive, wait for it to come up on the desktop, and try again". The only difference I can see, apart from the obvious OS difference, is that the 9.2.2 drive was formatted in HFS, while the 10.2.3 drive is HFS+. Also, the 7300 won't let me change the ownership of it's 9.2.2 drive and shows it as "unknown". ?????????????????????? |
