Yes, the complainers should back off and reread Ryan's last log entry. Give him a break. |

Good call, Naturist! Ryan indicated that he was going from part time to full time in a posting a while a go. Now, I have a daughter and a brother who are corporate lawyers, and both work 12 hour plus days. So, I'm not surprised (actually, I expected it), when Ryan said he was going to be busy for awhile. And judging (no pun indented) by his absense here, he's gone subrosa. However, that being said, I'd like to recommend to Ryan that he start mentoring someone to carry on the work. Don't work to hard, Ryan. We miss you around the forum. --Dwight |

Before y'all get to hyperventilating about the delay in release of XPF 3.0, I'll point out that the author is NOT Joe "Slacker" Programmer at MegaCorp, who is jerking otherwise loyal customers around by sitting on his hands in hopes of making a fortune collecting his hourly pay while this turkey sits on the back burner, behind his current game of Quake, or whatever they are playing these days "down in the pits." The author of XPF is a lawyer who has written this stuff as a labor of love, and gives it away FREE. That's right, he is GIVING it to us all for the fun of it. I personally am grateful for XPF, as it has added years to the useful life of my trusty Mac, circa 1996. Just for fun, go ask any of your Windoze buds how useful their 7 and 8 year old 486 and 586 'puters are for anything but boat anchors. If Ryan never touches XPF again, I shall have gotten more than my money's worth out of that old Mac. And I sure as heck have already gotten my money's worth out of both XPF and this forum. |

The beta of X 10.3 (Panther) will be released to attendees of the worldwide developer conference at the end of June. So don't expect any pre-releases before then. XPF 3.0 is long overdue, maybe we'll see it before June - I certainly hope so. |

If the author's support is any clue (haven't received any since joining the forum), then my bet is that XPF 3 is a way off. I wouldn't hold my breath. Chances are you'll see the full 10.3 version before you'll see XPF 3. |
