Hi, I actually boot my 8600+G4/400 on the internal SCSI, using a Sonnet ATA133 card to attach a disk where reside /User an /var/spool/news partition. This is MacOSX 10.1.5 All is really fine, and I have a spare 2 GB partition on that ATA drive, on which I want to install Jaguar. Installation runs smoothly, reboots, and voila, I have Jaguar. But when I want to reboot into Jaguar a second time, all is fine until the message Resetting IOCatalog, at which point, the system begins to report a 66 MHz PCI bus, which is, AFAIK, not true UltraTek100ATA::33 MHZ slot Resetting IOCatalog UltraTek100ATA::33 MHZ slot UltraTek100ATA::66 MHZ slot From that point, nothing happens but I/O Errors, whith the repeating message disk1s6 : 0x8 (UNDEFINED) Since the drive previously booted, I can't imagine an other reason that the incorrect 66 MHz speed for the PCI slot, which makes the ATA driver crazy. Do I guess right ? Anybody experienced the same problem ? Thanks, Xavier |

This is a known problem with the firmware of the ATA/133 card--if you contact Sonnet tech support, they should be able to help you out. |
