CANNOT BOOT FROM ADAPTEC SCSI CARD |

I have two SCSI buses in my Power Tower Pro. One is the system BUS (on board SCSI bus) and the other is the Adaptec 29160 N SCCI PCI card that i have installed. I have attached two LVD drives to this SCSI card. The drive with OS 9.1 boots just perfectly but I cannot get OS 10.2 to boot. I first used XFacto to install the necessary code in to the drive then it tries to restart to install the entire 10.2 but the screen goes black nd never comes back on again. Now I am able to install and boot 10.2 from the drive that is hooked up to my on board SCSI bus. But I really want to install and run OS 10.2 from my LVD drives but I cannot seem to boot from the drives that are attached to my Adaptec card. Any suggestions? |

Thanks guys, I actually updated the firmware and it worked. I am usually not the one who likes to update firmwares but this time it worked. I have a power tower pro as well, its all working now. Gabby |

I have booting off this card since before the update without a problem since 10.1.2 Strange... It's in a powertower pro for me. Marty PS I think it has to do with which drive you have hooked to it, how it is terminated and what drivers are installed on it. |
