I cannot install 10.2.3 on my HD with 10.2 (Jag), its says that its not the correct drive. I am using a PTP/ Newer Tech 400 G4, the 10.2 works fine though. should i try upgrading by using software upgrade instead of downloading the upgrade separately? Also I have installed 9.2 using 9.2 Install Helper from this site but when it boots to 9.2 it crashes, seems like a extension conflict. Any suggestions? is there anyway I could go back to 9.1 without losing all my Data? HELP!!! Gabby |

Try software upgrade. There's no chance of selecting the wrong drive that way. You could do a clean install of 9.1 to the same volume containing 9.2. That will save everything in the 9.2 folder. Before you do that, move System Folder, Applications (Mac OS 9), and Documents to inside a new folder. After installing 9.1 you will have fresh 9.1 versions of those folders, and you can go throw the old folders and delete all the stuff you don't want. I would recreate all the preferences and re-install third party extensions and such instead of trying to copy them over from the old folders. |
