Hi! I´m planning to order new memory to my freezer 9500/G4-800 sonnet. 6 pieces of 128Mb modules, Edo or non Edo, which one is better/suitable. Any suggestions? Which place ishould put them A1-B1.. or A1-A2... or should i start from bank A6? Yours Matti |

Thank you for your tips! I just orderd 6 of 128 models Fpm from Owc, let´s see what happens.. If they dont work on my G4/800 i put them on my G3/400. In my country only avalable 128 memory costs 90$ per stick :)) I will tell you my experiences till i know. |

There was a very good discussion of this earlier//// refrain... SEARCHABLE POSTINGS, SEARCHABLE POSTINGS, SEARCHABLE POSTINGS!! the 4k refresh have a higher failure rate but once you find good ones they work fine. I have 3 of the 128's from OWC and they are working just fine. you may find good ones on the first try and then again it may take a while or on the other hand some have believed they had a flakey sonnet card. Living on the edge is fun...good luck & have fun. |

You want non-EDO memory for that machine. For the record I have 6 sticks of OWC 128MB 4k refresh along with 2 sticks of 128MB 2k refresh RAM running in my Power Tower Pro w/Sonnet G4 800 and OS 10.2.3. There have definitely been a number of problems reported but you mileage may vary. |

Don't use the owc 128MB 4k refresh. Lots of problems reported in this forum with this combo (owc 128 + Sonnet G4 800 + OS 10.2.x). Use the 64MB 2k refresh FPM. But OWC just upped the price recently, to $22 (used to be about $18 a few weeks ago). |
