PoerCenter install problems |

I wonder if anyone has come across anythign like this. I own 2 PowerCenters - both upgarded with PowerLogix G3 cards running at 350. One has an Acard IDE card off which hangs a 40GB HD and a Toshiba DVD Rom which works uner 10.2.3 perfectly. The other will not install OSX under XPF 2.2.5. The mian boards are (so far as I can tell) identical. They both have isMicro video cards running (the first is OK under XPF and Jaguar). In order to run OSX, I have juggled with ram extensively, and now have 2 recent 128 MB DIMMS that should be OK under OSX (but other configurations have led to black screen under 9.1). I belive I have the RAM right for OSX. I have changed the SCSI CRDOM for an Apple 12X model - so that should not be the problem, (Ths SCSI HD is a 9GB model and should also be OK I reckon). Nevertheless what is happening is that on trying to install Jaguar under XPF 2.2.5 I mostly get kernel panics, though on 2 occasions, start-up has led to a reboot with the OSX Installer running OK, until it tries to actually install, when it falls over showing unexpected error code 0! Anyone got any clues? What am I doing wrong? I have been trying for a week now...HELP! MTIA Mark WILLAN I am running SCSI |
