I pulled the apple 2x cd that was causing problems on the restart to the X installer. Now I get past the cd drives just fine, but the process has ground to a halt on this: disk2s1s9: general error. What does that mean???? I'm running a G3500 PowerTowerPro, with 2 hard drives (one with 3 partitions), on the internal scsi bus. The 2 cd drives are on the external bus (now only one is connected, the cdrw). I used apple's drive setup to format and partition the drive. Don't understand what's happening , and don;t know what to do next. Don;t even know if this is even worth the hassle, bc no one has answered my q's abt video performance, and if I can't get video what's the point? I realize the forum is busy with lots of q's... but seems to me like I've been figuring the whole thing out on my own so far... I like supporting shareware and $10US isnt a great deal of $, but why advertize some tech support forum for the $10 when so far all my q's have gone unanswered. I don;t expect miracles... but geez. I'd rather have paid the $10 for the product download so I wouldnt have to feel stiffed for what so far seems like non-existant support. |
