I purchased the Revolution from OWC a week ago to see if maybe that would provide a better sound output option than my computer allows now, but so far I havent had any luck in getting the card to work. It either refuses to boot up (black screen) or gives me a kernel panic as soon as the desktop appears. Im using the 1.2.4 drivers with OSX 10.2.4 on a Daystar Genesis with a G3/400 upgrade. 576MB of RAM. I also have a Radeon 7000 in slot B1, an ATTO SCSI card in A1, and a ACARD IDE card in D2 Has anyone had any luck getting this card to run in any old world mac in OSX? cheers |

I got one two weeks ago and it's been working well. I still get some pops during audio playback and system sounds from time-to-time but the frequency has decreased from the previous driver release. I have it in slot C1 of a Power Tower Pro with a Sonnet G4/800 and 1GB RAM. I have an Sonnet Tempo ATA/100 in slot A1, a Ratoc Firewire/USB2.0 card in slot B1, a Zynx 10/100 Ethernet card in slot D2 and Radeon Mac Edition in slot F2. I'm running OSX 10.2.4 and v. 1.2.4 of the Revolution drivers. |
