Question for Ryan: Min OS9 required |

Ryan, what is the minimum OS 9 set required to use xPosFacto? If I get too sparse, it complains of missing libs. But it is a painful process of elimination to try to guess the minimum required. Can you list it for us here? I would like to create a fast-booting minimum set for recovering from emergencies and disasters, when I wind up inadvertently in OS 9. The main problem is that my regular, complex OS 9 set has gotten rather unstable, so I'd like a minimum set for stability as well as for fast bootup. Would it be possible in the future, as Symantec/Norton currently does with the OS 9 version of the utilities, that if you place the required lib extensions in the same folder as xPosFacto, any sparse set that will boot will be sufficient? Thanks. |

I don't actually know the answer to that question, which is not a good thing, now that I think about it. I'll make sure to pay more attention to this in XPF 3, so that it requires as small an extension set as possible. |
